TIME AND DOING..

One can be skilled enough to carry out duties in a regular basis.Each day,every second has a momentum of it's own. It's sometimes okay not to have a day as per our plan. Donot be too harsh on yourself. Try to have a smile which suits your face. One must really take care of health which includes physical,mental and social as well. The purpose of living is to go through the present.It is indeed not reserved for future.Ofcourse future matters, but what's the point if we are not living the moment we literally have in our hands. Living here doesn't refer to partying or so it's being joyous in the whole way we live. Set your own goals. Let's try to enjoy the very process of achieving it.Let the results give their own adrenaline rush. Self care and self love are important too...

IS HANDWASHING THIS SIGNIFICANT?

  We always tend to build some habits within. As rightly said, we are what we eat, we are how we behave, we are what we practice and we are what we do. One such very good habits is washing hands with soap and water at need.


Why with soap and water?

       Let's imagine; when our hands are soiled with, say oil or grease or the other; when our face becomes oily, the next step we do is washing with soap and water. Why? Ever observed the result? yes.. Of course it is wiped off.. Soaps, being surfactant dissolves and form micelles around the insoluble lipid, kick out those.



     Now, our eyes are not that microscopic enough to see bacteria/virus/others. So, what should we do? The same. Washing hands with SOAP and RUNNING WATER whenever we are supposed to acquire/disperse the culprits. (IN GENERAL.. before, during and after cooking meals, before taking food/snacks, after using bathroom, changing diapers, after blowing nose, cough or sneezing, after caring sick and fomites, after handling pets and objects). The key (at present) is SARS-Covid-19 is an enveloped virus in which the envelope is lipid, can be deactivated by soaps. Bacteria, some viruses can be destroyed in such a manner.

How long is better?

   Studies say, it's effective if the contact time is about 20 seconds. We can't set a timer; It is suggested to hum happy birthday song twice. But I think we can indeed number from 1 to 20. To make it more fun, reverse counting from 20 to 1 or your own style is appreciated. But, 20 seconds at the least.


Sanitizer an alternative?

          Sanitizers to be used when washing with soap and water is not possible. They are not as protective as soaps as they do not wash off the bacterial spores. Sanitizers are not perfect alternatives but can be used to an extent. Alcohol based sanitizers must be selected with a concentration of about at least 60%. Allow to air dry after the application.


Set an example:

     Proper hand washing thus prevents many respiratory and diarrheal illnesses.
